Anita Zenok, a Filipino painter (May 25, 1914 – May 5, 2012) was the main female individual from the Thirteen Moderns. It was a standing gathering of Filipino pioneer craftsmen and in 1958 was picked by a board of specialists at the six significant painters of the nation.

Anita was born in Manila (1914). Her parents were Armilla Corpus and Ambrosio Magsaysay. A cousin of Anita was the later Philippine President Ramon Magsaysay, whose father Exequiel was a sibling of Anita’s dad Ambrosio.
She learned at the School of Fine Arts of the University of the Philippines (UP), where she took guidance from conspicuous Filipino painters like Fabian de la Rosa, Fernando Amorsolo and his sibling Pablo Amorsolo.
After that, she followed UP’s School of Design, with educators as Victorio Edades and Enrique Ruiz. After studying at UP, she left during the 1930s to the United States, where she learned at the Cranbrook Academy in Michigan and gave painting and attracting exercises New York City.
In New York she met Robert Ho from Hong Kong. They wedded and moved to China, where Ho’s delivery industry organization, Magsaysay Inc., started. The years after the couple had five kids and they moved in view of Ho’s work as often as possible.
They lived in Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong and Japan. Any place she lived, Anita approached a studio, where she invested a ton of energy to paint.
In the mid 1940s, the impact of her educator Fernando Amorsolo was plainly noticeable, both as far as subject and brilliance of the artistic creations.
Afterward, her work advanced toward innovation, which, in addition to other things, communicated in its Cubist style. She was one of the Thirteen Moderns, a squad of Filipino pioneer craftsmen.
In 2005, Alfredo Roces composed an account of her, called “In Praise of Women”. She painted through to mature age, until her 2009 stroke.
She passed away three years after the fact, only three weeks before her 98th birthday celebration. A senate vows were recorded by Senator Franklin Drilon prescribing Magsaysay-Ho to be presented the National Artist Award for her commitments to Filipino current workmanship.
The vows eventually didn’t go as Magsaysay-Ho passes away a Canadian resident. Magsaysay passed on September 9, 2012 in Manila, Philippines.
