President Donald Trump and his son Eric Trump have been named as personal defendants in a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by a former employee of Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
The civil complaint, filed in New Jersey Superior Court, alleges a widespread culture of gender discrimination at the luxury golf club, where female employees were allegedly forced to wear revealing uniforms and punished for reporting inappropriate behavior by management.
The plaintiff, identified in court filings as Maria Hadley, claims she was subjected to a hostile work environment during her employment at the exclusive club, where memberships reportedly cost around $350,000 per year.
According to the lawsuit, Hadley was issued a uniform that was “far too small and too tight” and was told by a manager, “If they don’t fit, you don’t work,” when she requested a properly sized outfit. She described the experience as humiliating and said it made her feel objectified.
The complaint alleges the mistreatment extended beyond dress code issues. Hadley claims male managers and staff made inappropriate sexual remarks about teenage guests, referring to them as “sexy,” and that a bartender served alcohol to underage employees while making sexual comments about a 12-year-old girl.
After reporting the bartender’s conduct to human resources, Hadley says she faced retaliation. Her work hours were reduced, coworkers stopped speaking to her, and she was excluded from a bonus awarded to other employees following a visit from Donald Trump.
The lawsuit further alleges she was reassigned menial tasks and subjected to escalating stress, which worsened her Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Hadley says she was hospitalized twice before resigning in August 2025.
In a notable detail, Hadley said she had previously been a supporter of Donald Trump and even messaged Eric Trump directly to warn him that the “misogynistic” treatment she experienced was damaging his father’s reputation. She claims no corrective action was taken.
The lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages, including reimbursement for medical costs, lost wages, emotional distress, and legal fees.
This is not the first time allegations have emerged involving Trump National Golf Club Bedminster. Other former employees have previously raised complaints about harassment and retaliation at the property.
Neither the Trump Organization nor representatives for Donald or Eric Trump have publicly responded to the allegations. The claims have not been proven in court, and the case is still in its early stages.
The lawsuit adds to the growing list of legal and reputational challenges facing the Trump family, placing renewed scrutiny on workplace practices at Trump-branded properties.
