MELBOURNE, Australia — The legal fight over the estate of Virginia Giuffre, the most high-profile accuser of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has erupted into a four-way showdown involving her two adult sons, her longtime housekeeper, and her former attorney.

Giuffre, who reached an undisclosed settlement in 2022 with Prince Andrew (now known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor after being stripped of his royal titles), died by suicide in April at age 41 at her farm in Western Australia. She left no will.

Her sons, Christian Giuffre, 19, and Noah Giuffre, 18, filed a petition in June asking the Western Australia Supreme Court to grant them control of their mother’s estate.

That includes her property, personal effects, and any future revenue from her memoir “Nobody’s Girl,” released last month.

The book expands on her claims of being trafficked as a teen to powerful men, including billionaires, politicians, and King Charles III’s brother. Mountbatten-Windsor has repeatedly denied the allegations.

But the case is far from simple.

Giuffre’s former housekeeper and caregiver, Cheryl Myers, and her one-time Perth-based lawyer, Karrie Louden, are fighting to be appointed administrators as well. A temporary administrator has already been put in place as the dispute plays out.

During Friday’s initial hearing, lawyers debated several potential complications, including whether Giuffre’s unnamed daughter, who is protected by law, and her estranged husband, Robert Giuffre, should formally join the case.

Virginia separated from her husband and children earlier this year and had been facing charges for breaching a family-violence restraining order from a February incident. She died before her scheduled court appearance.

Another hearing is expected next year as the court sorts through the competing claims to one of the most controversial estates linked to the Epstein saga.
