Trump Brags About His Gold Drapes During War Briefing, Says Ballroom Will Be ‘Most Beautiful Anywhere in the World’

As the U.S. remains locked in a growing military conflict overseas, President Donald Trump took a surprising detour during a national security briefing — to talk about his drapes.
In the middle of discussing the ongoing war effort, Trump abruptly shifted focus to interior design, gesturing toward a set of gold curtains behind him.
“See that nice drape?” Trump said. “When that comes down right now you see a very very deep hole, but in about a year and a half you’re gonna see a very very beautiful building.”
Rather than detailing battlefield developments or casualty updates, the president enthusiastically described what he said would become a grand ballroom.
“And there’s your entrance to it right there. In fact, it looks so nice I think I’ll leave it and save money on the doors,” he continued. “I picked those drapes. I always liked gold.”
Trump then declared that the project would result in “the most beautiful ballroom anywhere in the world.”
The remarks came as reporters were expecting updates on military operations and mounting international tensions. Instead, they got a design review.
The White House has not clarified whether the ballroom project is connected to any official government initiative or is a separate undertaking. Critics quickly circulated video of the moment online, questioning the president’s priorities as the conflict continues.
