Trump Claims ‘Everyone Is Asking’ His Take Ahead of the High-Profile Army–Navy Football Showdown

President Donald Trump is preparing to attend Saturday’s Army–Navy football game in Baltimore, saying ahead of the matchup that “everyone” has been pressing him to reveal which side he supports.
Trump shared the update Saturday as he traveled to the event, posting on his social media platform, Truth Social, while en route to the historic rivalry game.
“Getting ready to land at Fort McHenry for my short drive to the Army-Navy Game,” Trump wrote.
He added that questions about his allegiance were already pouring in ahead of kickoff.
“Everyone is asking who am I supporting, Army or Navy?” Trump wrote. “My answer is: ‘You must be joking if you think I’m going to give you that answer!’”
The Army–Navy rivalry is one of the oldest traditions in American sports, dating back to 1890 and drawing national attention each year for its mix of football, pageantry, and military pride.
Navy currently leads the all-time series 63–55, including a dominant 14-game winning streak from 2002 to 2015. In last year’s contest, Navy defeated Army 31–13.
Trump has made a habit of attending high-profile sporting events, particularly football games, during his presidency.
Last month, he traveled to Landover, Maryland, to attend a game between the Washington Commanders and the Detroit Lions, becoming the first sitting president in nearly 50 years to attend a regular-season National Football League game.
Earlier this year, Trump also attended Super Bowl LIX and has repeatedly criticized recent NFL rule changes, arguing they have softened the sport and turned it into what he has derided as “sissy football.”
