Marjorie Taylor Greene Breaks With Trump on Live TV: “Release the Epstein Files – All of Them”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is now publicly pressing Donald Trump to release the full Jeffrey Epstein files — and she’s not being subtle about it.
During a CNN interview this week, Greene said she has personally urged the president to make every remaining name and document public. Her stance puts her in rare alignment with Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, who have also been pushing for full disclosure. And it marks one of the clearest breaks yet between Greene and the White House.
“Pretty much everyone across the board agrees — release the Epstein files,” Greene told CNN. “No one should be protected.”
Greene said survivors of Epstein’s abuse have told her there is a list of men who have not been publicly identified — and that she offered to read those names herself on the House floor. So far, she says, the victims have not asked her to follow through, but she emphasized that she’s prepared to do it.
“They’re victims of Jeffrey Epstein,” she said. “And they say they’re also victims of another group of men. I told them I would read the names. I meant it.”
Greene claimed the refusal to release the files spans multiple administrations — adding that the American public is fed up with the secrecy.
“This is something the American people are extremely angry about,” she said. “It played a part in Tuesday’s election. People are mad. They don’t want to vote. And it’s not going away.”
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer asked whether she had raised this directly with Trump.
“Yes, yes, I have,” Greene replied. “I don’t share private conversations, but I made it clear how important it is.”
CNN clarified that Trump has not been accused of any wrongdoing related to Epstein. But Greene didn’t back down when asked whether Trump’s administration appears reluctant to release the files.
“I don’t have to explain it,” she said. “Everyone I talk to — inside my district and outside it — wants these files released. Every day, my office gets calls. People want the truth.”
The push for full disclosure has been led in Congress by Oversight Committee Democrats, including Reps. Robert Garcia and Summer Lee, who introduced a motion to subpoena Attorney General Pam Bondi and the DOJ earlier this year.
Greene’s stance now puts her on the same side as the very Democrats she most often attacks — and directly at odds with Trump’s inner circle, who have repeatedly stalled full public release.
Whether the names ever see daylight may depend on how far Greene is willing to go — and whether the White House believes the political cost of secrecy has finally become greater than the cost of transparency.
