Measles exposure in Hershey and York County

State health officials are warning the public about a measles vulnerability in Hershey, and several York County locations last week.

Officials say a patient at Wellspan York Hospital has the 14th confirmed case of measles in Pennsylvania this year.

There have been more that 1200 measles cases discovered in the U.S. this year, the most in almost 30 years.

Measles is highly infectious, but preventable with a vaccine.

At present, there is no current risk of infection at any of the locations named in the state’s report.
